If your swapping to 6L and your trucks a 4x4 does the replacement engine need to be from a 4x4

Yep, XFACTOR pulled on me pretty good with his Radix 6.0 - and his truck is heavier as well.

I know the 6.0 has alot more potential and my tq numbers will be low with the 5.3, ktmrider just sent me a car craft article where they got 458 out of a 5.3 NA (props man preciate it). By my math Id need to get a 6.0 for around 1500 and then it still wouldnt give me the numbers that Id be getting with the 5.3 and bolt ons. If Im missing something let me know.

If anyone has parts I can use pm me

rock on
No prob man! Hope it helped.
Gonzo and the others are right, long term the 6.0L will give you better options. You have time ( but not storage ) that will play in your favor.
I have seen the LQ9's on eBay for around $2500 brand new. Of course, this was before they got "special" and popular with the large bore LS1 crowd.
The stock computer tune will be perfectly fine til you are ready to really rumble. Also make sure to go a route that allows growth later down the line if more mods are in the cards.
I got my rotating 4" stroker assy for $2000 shipped. I cannot push them since they are not sponsors here but PM me if you want the name and website.
Enjoy the buildup, take it from me it's much more interesting than sitting in front of the tube ( but not the computer tho hee hee ).

This happened to be my friend Juan. We where at the track about a week ago and he was getting consistant 13.4 at 100+mph when he got traction. This was also with 3.42 gears. He's now saving up for an STS turbo.

How about finding a low mileage junker? I believe I read a while back that Parish did that and paid $1200 for the engine and tranny.

GM has a warehouse of surplus engines. In fact there are 80 000 engines in this warehouse. They are overruns or cosmetically blemished. The ware house is connected to several engine whole sellers who move these engines in large quantities. I bought an 03 LQ4 which seems to have surplus right now. The engine I just received was actually built on the line but rejected because the heat shield was wrinkled. The name in this thread of the fella in Oklahoma city is one of them.

Good Luck!
