Well, in the spirit of the subject of this thread, I have a 2WD truck and have done everything I can short of slicks, 4-link, and tubbing it to make it hook up. It's really amazing how different road surfaces are. When it does hook up the front end gets light, but not off the ground.

As far as those wheelie pictures go, well do the math - 6000 pounds, 350cid stock bottom end, street tires. It will not pull the wheels without a bounce in first gear. So there ya go. The good news is that evidently I can do that whenever I feel like it without breaking anything. It's fun sometimes through an intersection. hahaaa

here ya go, never before posted to any forum ever:

For tires, I used to run Goodyear Eagle GT-II in a 285/60 R16 (29.4"). These didn't hook up well and were scary in the rain. I now run Pirelli Scorpion Zero in a 275/60 R16 (29.0"). The Pirellis are far better made, handle much better, ride quieter, don't have chronic runout problems like the GT-II's did, and traction in rain is astounding - almost uncompromised from dry traction as hard as that is to believe, seriously.

These are WOT launches with the GT-II's, 4L60-E, and the Gibson exhaust. Also still had the cam in it then. Watch the weight transfer (obvious advantage with a SUV over a PU) Also for these three vids I had the traction bars OFF. The axle moves forward visibly as the springs wrap all up. The splined driveshaft in it allows 3" of lateral movement without bottoming out in the tailshaft housing and causing damage. (Bars back on now after repairing brackets mangled from torque.)
