Default 4L80E Conversion for EC need help.......

I have a 2000 Silverado EC and am switching to a 4L80E, I have checked Parish's site and have everything I need except for the driveshaft and trans brace. Being an EC what are my options can I use a 2500 or 2500HD 2wd ec driveshaft and transbrace or does it have to be a custom pieces.
Moneys tight so.....Cheap is the key. Thanks

My drivesahft length was fine. I did have to have a new yoke though. Just get the new yoke put on and it should be fine. I modified my original crossmember.

Here's a bunch of pics from mine.

Thanks for the pics. Is yours a Extended cab? I have a two piece drive. It should be alot different????? And I notice your driveshaft broke, maybe because it was the wrong length??????

I think you should have used thicker metal

Mine is RC. It shouldn't be THAT much difference. Maybe you could just have a whole new driveshaft made. A 1 piece shaft would be a lot easier to turn too.

grippy, I think you're right. I just wanted to make sure it was going to hold.

Ya his brace is a tank. Looks good. Can I go with a one piece? It would be to long wouldn't it.

I think it's border line on length. Call some local shops up and see what they say.

If I had to guess I would say around 70" is what you need.

Talking

you need to look at the post where i put up my pics. i had to have a new yoke put on the driveshaft. i did not have to have it shortened. but i used the bolt on yoke to. if you are using a slip on yoke you will have to have the front shaft shotened. i think it was 80e swap picks.
