My mentor shakes his finger at me and tells me "don't get rammy"!

Seems he thinks I have a tendancy to get "rammy" (pronounced ram e ), or let my emotions control my actions, get excited or upset and then get "rammy". I get the feeling you maybe get that way sometimes. Be cool, be careful, stop and take a deep breath. You are a really bright guy. Let your intelligence guide your actions. Don't get rammy. Regards, Gramps

It got a little quieter with the windage tray clearenced properly of course. I don't see how it spun a rod of course having checked the bearing tolerances and the engine hasn't seen over 1500rpm yet. It could be anything at this point. We will all soon find out.
I have seen a few spin a rod bearing right after cranking (not any I built). The crank has a radius at each end of the throw and the bearings are marked upper and lower and clearanced for this. If you get one wrong on assembly it will seem fine but will sieze and spin the bearing when you crank it.

well think of it this way, if we ever have a "See who can pull their motor the fastest" Contest, u'll smoke all of us, but really that sucks ***, but it will get better, it has to, sooner or later there won't be anything else on it that'll tear up and u'll be good to go

Dude that really sucks. Ive been in your shoes, but with the transmission issues. Trying to rush so I could get to work the next day, then blow another. At least when its all said and done, you will be able to look back at it and say "Yep uh hu dangole Ididthat therehot rod truck yup."

The bearings were put in properly. There are little notches that go into each other for the different bearings and we put them in on the right sides Im sure of that.

LOL at Jim thanks for the advice

White1 yeah I think I probably have the record drop it in one day pull it out the next pretty much. Parish has had his motor in and out more times than I ahve though so I ahve some catching up to do

Oh and Jim just the motor comes out its a hell of alot easier especially since Im 4wd. You gotta make sure when you put the motor in that the converter is fully seated and take it easy and get it lined up perfect with the bellhousing thats all.

I think it was fully seated, just all the bumping and banging around (I forgot the vise grips ) it came out of that last "click"

Got a two for one though. Screwed the TC and tranny pump.
