Default 4150 TB setup, how to feed it and how to tune it?

Hey guys, long time no posting, married life and work has had me caught up. I'm currently putting together an lq9 going to have ported 243's on it with a custom spec'd cam for a vic jr or the holley 4150 style intake. I want to know if I would be better off running a carb hat and fabbing some custom tubing and using the MAF, or would I be better off using an old style breather and going Speed Density tuned? I am open to suggestions, this will be a daily with a F.A.S.T TB with a plate system then eventually a direct-port fogger N2O kit. Any advice is welcome, preferably no negative comments, thanks guys

EDIT: I am currently running a TBSS intake with a 92mm, just wanting to go a different route

Do we have to cut the wires from the maf sensor to run a separate IAT? Anyone have pics of how they have done it?
