All depends on how well the engine has been taken care of. I would rather have a 150,000 mile engine with regular oil changes and regular maintenance by a meticulous owner than one with half as many miles that was beat on and used cheap oil and cheap filters and changed when the owner felt like it.

Ive not had the truck long and im not sure how it was took care of. It runs very strong. I pulled the valve cover on the newer motor and its almost clean enough to eat off of. Not had a chance to look at the older motor. The reason we're changing it is because its going through antifreeze and water like crazy with absolutely no signs of a leak. And we figure we'll just change it due to the high miles.

Im with the rest of these guys 400hp "flywheel" is not too tough man, but if you had an L33 like Trever1t with the upgraded CR and better heads it would take alot less.... Thats why i went with my "Iron" L33 5.3 with 4.8 flat tops and 243 heads to try to squeeze out 400hp with a baby cam and bolt ons. Hope to have this 4.8 out and the new 5.3 soon

Not even a 6.0 with those mods would make that rwhp!
