Default Pulled a valve cover at 160K

Doesnt this look pretty clean to yall? The truck has 160,000 on it and I've ran mobil 1 since 60K when I got it.....I usually change it every 5K.

I'm used to the older 350's, which is what I grew up around, and pullin the valve cover off my old 350 in high school, that thing had so much carbon buildup it was crazy! Full of it! Heres some pics...are they always this clean?

If they're taken care of and you keep the oil changed then yes they should.

Nice, I'm glad to know that spending the extra money on Mobil 1 is payin off. I'd love to see the bearings on this thing.

My buddy is comin over tonight so I can install some HID's on his truck, hes got a 2000 silvy w/ 5.3 and I think around 130,000K. He runs conventional oil....and doesnt change it at specified intervals.....hell I made him change his fuel filter the other day and it was the original one on the truck, shouldve seen all the **** that came out of that thing, wonder it ran at all. I migh pull his valve cover for comparison. Pics later.
