no ****, My mistaske on the frame (previous post noted the allison accomodation) but the 1500 HD has the 1.2" wider track width of the 2500 HD vs. the standard 2500's

Flem, That is interesting, are you sure that 1500 HD is not 1.2" wider than the 1500, I would wonder why it is as wide as the 2500HD but is a 2500, although the 2500's share the same front end.

Even if you look at the brochures, it list the 1500HD with all the 2500HD widths not the regular 2500's

humm.....I don't know, I'd venture to say that the 2500 and 2500HD are the same with (just guessing) I would go with brochures, they have a tendency to be wrong. I remember in 1995 they printed that the tahoe came with a pass side air bag but they didn't have them. Anyway, maybe someone else will have more info.
