I think that I will probably just stay with the cam I have besides I really need to spend the money on some longtubes which will probably add just as much power as that bigger cam would.

With a 3000 stall the definition of 'low end' changes, doesn't it? The floor (normal driving) becomes 2000-2500 RPM's instead of 1500-1600 RPM's, and the ceiling (flash stall) becomes ~3200 RPM. You kinda skip right through what 'low end' is for a lot of people.
