Default 2010 2500hd 6.0 headers/ muffler search

Good morning
I am currently trying to gain more performance out of my 2010 6.0 silverado and am looking at exhausts now before I tune it. My problem is I’m wanting as much air flow as possible but do not want it very Loud. My question is if I place LT headers and go with a quiet muffler would I just be shooting myself in the foot. My overall gain needs to be torque at low rpm. I tow a trailer that weighs about 11K and do not want to blow my ears off. Any advice would be awesome thank you

Magnaflow or Borla Touring would be my two suggestions for your situation. I'd skip the headers if you're primarily operating at low RPM. It'll stay quieter with a cat back only.

Headers will move your power band up not down where you want to keep it.

Thanks for the info. It’s kinda what I was thinking also. The next thing to do is get rid of the clutch fan and get a tune on 91

Upgrade the trans cooler while you're at it.

4.10s would be one of the best bang for the buck for towing (assuming the truck has 3.73s stock)

To hell with 4.10...... go right to 4.56 if you want to gear one of those trucks. It actually makes a truck out of them and you have all the torque you want down low with the 6L90e. Yes my own 2017 is 4.56's with a tire that's just over an inch taller than stock.

I have a Borla XR1 oval on the 17 and it's kind of droney...... wasn't really happy with that but since I did the gear swap the drone is pretty well gone. I turn 2100 rpm at 70 mph for all those ready to freak out over "too much gear" because it isn't. My 17 is a 6 liter and started life a 3.73 gear truck and it was useless.... Now I actually enjoy dragging 10000 lbs behind it because it doesn't have a ton of trouble doing it.
