It's still a drop... and honestly... what should anyone honestly care about a test of a low compression overcammed mess. I get their point and no I dont think the 706 or 862 are a bad head but at least make the test somewhat relevant. GM raised compression to 9.9:1 in conjunction with the head and intake change so beyond the obvious of increased power it increases efficiency which is the name of the game with a glorified air pump. I would not use that test as an example of anything other than how well a 5.3 can run when being slapped together with no rhyme or reason.
