Default 15 Silverado 5.3 to 6.2 top end swap

Local shop recommeded swaping out top end for 6.2. Has anyone done this what kinda numbers coukd i see eith a tune. Mentioned needing a throttle body adapter for 6.2 intake to jive. A budget upgrade???

Like....the heads? Aren't the combustion chambers bigger? Unless you're sticking a GM blower on it...is there a point?

1- I am not sure the valves would clear the bore

2- if they do the shrouding would be horrible



But hey, someone prove me wrong.

Maybe he meant swap from the 5.3 to a 6.2

As above, I don't even think its remotely possible bc of the large valves. If it was I would've already done it...head flow.

I have a friend who did this swap. Heads and intake from a l92 onto a 5.3. He used the l92 head gaskets because the 5.3 gaskets didn't clear his valves when he matched them up. That should have been his first clue. But it wasnt. He tried to fire it up. I think he only bent a few valves before the starter couldn't turn it anymore

But the 5.3 head gaskets are the same size as the bore of the engine....c'mon....
