Default 05+ efan differences

Just wondering if anyone knows why there are differences between these two 05+ efans.

The first one up to look at has one fan with 7 blades and the other with 5 blades.

Then there is the one that Whippled 496 recently put on his 8.1L. Both of the fans have 7 blades, also the shape of the blades appears to be different.

I would like to get the version that has both 7 blade fans, but I do not know the difference in applications. For those of you that have efans, count up your blades and post up what you have. Hopefully this will help narrow down the efan differences.

I've asked about this before...the general consensus was to remove resonation issues. That's the best explanation we came up with at the time.

Mixed blade counts 5 and 7. I dunno if that's true or not but it makes sense to me.

Well you spiked my curiosity so I went down to my truck and counted mine, I have 7 blades on the driver's side and 5 on the passenger's side. Pretty sure that my fans were new take-offs from an 05 when I got them. They work just fine at keeping my truck cool FWIW (I have a 160* stat with fans set to come on at 180* and off at 173*)

Mine came off a 2007 NNBS Tahoe and I'm about 99% sure both fans are 7 blades. I run them in series and don't have any issues and they are almost silent too.

When mine are on high I definitely hear them, but they're pretty quiet when on low

I dont hear mine on high or low......I had to get out of the truck and look to make sure they were coming on when they were supposed too. I guess thats why some people hook up LED's to them.
