ĦĦĦlsrxt!!! Help decide

Ok i have a chance off getting an LSXRT intake reeeallll good price under $500
good condition
, if i get it plan on swaping the intake using 87mm intake (for now)and stock 243s i have in my garage, on my FBO Lq4. The deal is to good to pass up IMO.
THE ISSUE is i still have NO cam! Would the intake+head swap be worth the time and $$$ on a stock cam lq4 for now? I will get a cam near future. I've seen good HP gains on stock motors so i think its worth it, help decide
Thanks PT.net

500 is a deal but they don't have too hot a track record in the fitment area. Lots off issues have been talked about on here, so I can only image the whole spectrum. JMO I would not run one after hearing of all the BS..

I have one and the only fitment issue was the fuel rails, injectors and hoses. Kept leaking and the popping off under pressure. Turned into an engine fire. But i can say this intake can survive after 2 minutes engulfed in flames.

Just got mine installed, so worth it. Like stated before dont pass up a good deal. The only problem is the idle issue when it cuts off. But theres a link on here about bypassing the pcv systema dn running to two catch cans, It's post #87 on the following link:
