Default Will a 4l60E bolt..

Will a 4L60E bolt up to a 6.0 ok? I assume the SS trucks have 4L60's... There is not much external difference between a 60 and 80, am I correct?
Thanks

The SS trucks have the 4L65Es. I think the case is the exact same on both of them so it should bolt up to the 6.0 with no modifications.

The 4L60E will bolt behind a 6.0L, but you might have to get your driveshaft resized to to fit it, depends on the legend of the tailshaft housing. The Silverado SS uses the 4L65E which is a beefer 4L60E.

the 4l60 will bolt up but it is not strong enough to last very long if you raw dog your truck.

It will bolt up and then commit suicide whether you get on it or not. Just do a search and see how many guys lost their 4L60 DAYS after the 6.0 swap.

I'm pretty sure that it'll bolt up as long as the 6.0 is from 01 and up. The 99-00 6.0's won't bolt up to the 60E without some sort of modification.
