Just finished a setup on a buddys truck, rcsb heads/cam ls1 with a 150 plate shot, has a 4l80e with a 4k stall. Stock drive shaft with a part store ujoint and this is what happened. We should of set the window switch a bit higher to start with but I really though the drive train should of held it. He was running 1.80 60s on the motor. So what do we need to do? Aftermarket drive shaft and ujoints? Or just a stronger ujoint? Iv been 1.60s on stock ds and part store ujoint but this may have gone a bit quicker.

You could upgrade to a bigger u-joint. A lot of people run Spicer or Neapco with no issue though. Maybe be worth a try?

You could upgrade to the spicer non-greasable joints. They are solid and stronger than greasable ones. If you break that you need to go up to a 1350 joint.

I launched 1.70 60ft with that driveshaft on 100 shot guess that 150 just too much. I agree on 1350 u joints. Hope to see it run on 150 and make a full pass.

Ok I think this is a 1330-1350 ujoint, the yoke is 1350. if the drive shaft is bent or damaged we may just end up getting a 1350 custom drive shaft, if its fine then ill look into the spicer ujoint. Thanks for the input thats what I needed to know.

Yeah this converter thats in it is setup for a small cube turbo engine so it flashs up real high, but its holding the power just fine up top, if we can get it to hold together its going to make for a wicked 60 foot.
