Default What traction solution would/do you use?

I will be needing some sort of traction solution shortly. I have done tons of searching and basically what I have found is the cal tracs work well but are noisey, battlebars are not out(yet) for our trucks, I dont like the old school slapper bar look, and most of the anti-wrap(ladder bar) bars out there for lifted trucks wont work for a lowered truck. Im thinking of getting a bar custom made and mounting the bracket to the 14bolt axle I got in the garage before powder coating it then putting the other mount end on one of the crossmemebers are welding in an extra one and building my own. Its alot of work but at the moment seems maybe the best. Anybody had any experience with the competition engineering slide-a-links? If anybody else has a traction solution out there let me know. Spring clamps dont count

Cody, I dont know what will work but it seems like this guy knows what it takes, look under videos and it says Sean's 11.2, I am curious what suspension he has to have his truck that low and just have some e/t's on some stock wheels...

I KNOW for a fact that the Slide-a-links work awesome on s-10's. I would imagine that they would work equally well on a fullsize.

To me it seems the slide links would have the same problem with noise as the cal tracs due to their design.

My Caltracs do not give out a single noise as of 5 days of having them on.
I placed a 3/4 heater hose over the tension bolt that presses down on top of the leaf pack. That's what makes the noise. Noise fixed before it began.
Hell, if you drive the truck with the Caltracs unloaded for everyday driving, you would not have to worry about the noise anyways. The tension bolt wouldn't even be touching the leaf spring. I've been running mine loaded a little and have yet heard a noise.
Caltracs also = superb corning ability. That's a plus. Hardly any sway. Very responsive.
I like mine so far!

I would drive with them loaded to race since I dont drive the truck much anyway. I just dont want a squeeky rattle trap. I could probably get some teflon strips and mount them under the tension bolt and not have to worry about it wearing through the rubber hose.

until i went back to my stock 17" wheels, I actually could get my SS rims w/ 325/55's to stick pretty damn well (geolanders) with the caltracs. FWW, 2wd, they are gonna spin if you want them to no matter what, but if you are building a track truck, I imagine you are putting some good stickies on as well, right? In that case, caltracs with teflon or do as chevy6000 did. My **** is noisy anyway, so I don't care too much. It ain't that bad, and mine are loaded. You 4wd right? put stickies on and deal with the spinning when it comes. Just get your **** up and running! I wanna see some racin out of you fool! Your killin me here!

I got some very lightweight 18x8s in the garage that once the truck is up and running and I got a few other things lined out I will be throwing drag radials on them so I hsould be at about 52-56#s per corner and VERY sticky. I have everything except head studs and the 96# injector kit to get the motor up and running. Now getting the turbo on there is another story
