Default What are the limits of the 4L65E?

I am curious about this, because I don't want to have to do the 80E upgrade anytime soon.

the 65E's work well into the 12's in the silverado SS's with race weight around 5400-5500. they aren't magic, but they are considerably better than the 60E's.

Id like to hear others opinions on this as well. If what zippy says is more or less reasonable I am happy with that! My truck wont ever see 12's

Well before I blew up my motor I was hitting a 150 shot off the line quite a few times and my 4L65E is still holding up really well.

Not trying to jack the thread, but what could a 4l60e take in a RC? 13s?

with the correct shift kit parts i think it could take you there fine. there is an abuse factor involved, but it certainly should be able to handle it.

This is a little off topic but how did you blow your motor. ( hint: I plan on spraying a 150 rwhp shot soon.)
