Yep, and it's real nice. Before I beat on it though, I need to get a tranny cooler and shift kit/servos in there.

Does my tahoe have a 4L65E in it already? I have heard that it came in 2003 4wd trucks.

Your tahoe should just have the 60E. The 65E came in the SS trucks, Denali's, and Escalades with the LQ9.

Wow, I'd have to disagree. I'm not sure what "work well" means. Let me explain. I have a 65 in my Denali, about 50k miles on it. When driving "normal" it works just great. When I'm on it (470hp/525tq) it slips SOOOO bad on the 1-2 shift. Literally takes about 20mph before it gets into the next gear from the time it starts the shift. 2-3 shift isn't as bad, but still not what it should be.

I'd never go with just a basic GM 65 for anything with power levels near what I have. For $1400, I'm going to have a built 65 put in, real soon.

Check my 1/4 mile times (in sig). It's no where near the 12's but slips so bad that I really don't know what a realistic time would be.

Im going with a built '65 in my Tahoe. The guys at FLP were confident that it would be fine with the 550+ I plan on putting to the ground. I dont beat on my truck very often though. My '60 with servo and tranny cooler are still holding up well.
