Well if the 80 is in good condition to start you could do the transgo hd-2 kit along with a 34 element intermediate sprag for some basic upgrades and you should be ok. I would make sure your using a good quality converter also if your using nitrous. But I wouldn't recommend this on a high mile trans because they usually need bushings and end play adjustments from what we've seen.
