Default Wanna see my broken shaft :naughty:

Output shaft that is?

Well I was leaving my house yesterday and not 200ft away from my street BOOM. Motor cut off nearly a stall out feeling. Well I got the motor running again, and tried to move but just grinding away sounds came from the tranny. Well a cop comes and blocks off the lane for me and i was able to dog limp it in reverse back up to my street and park it. Well park got killed too so I just put it in park anyways and threw on the parking brake... 20ish mins later a tow truck came and picked it up.

Well heres the carnage :head: :bawl:

Output shaft torn and broke into 4 pieces

:byebye: 4 pinon planet

If I recall only the input shaft, pump and vb was able to be saved oh and the case...

Not to bad for 120k miles and hell the band and clutchs wernt even burnt

Thanks Eric aka hit man x for convincing me todo the 80e swap. I hope they dont order anything come tommrow other wise im stuck with a rebuild from aamco Luckly my dad is friends with the owner so got a 3 year 50k warrenty

Ahh man there is nothing wrong with AAMCO, my friend has been there for over 25 years and I would take it to no one else but him.

There are lots of good builders that do performance work on the side. I know of two who are badass. One who makes transmission for 7/8 second supras and pretty much anything else fast here in Austin.
