i would go with the 4.10's because you are going to need as much low end as you can get with the turbo!

I've wanted to ask this same question. Im running 4.56's and a 3k stall and I'm worried that it's too much gear too. ttt

I'm no expert, but I think you will be better off with the 3.42 gear vs the 4.10. Turbos supposedly love gear. Something to with loading the engine/turbo. You will not build boost without putting a load on the engine. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will come here and elaborate.

I have heard that they like higher ratios b/c it helps create a load that increases the exaust that turns the turbo faster. Deeper ratios put less load on the motor (why your around town milage goes up with the 4:11's) so there is less exaust gas to build boost.

I have 3.42s a 4l80e and a 2800 stall. This is with street tires.

This is with slicks and a 2-step.

And from a roll. 8 psi on a stock 5.3

4.10s will not allow the turbo to build boost until you are well past 1st gear.

3.42...4.10 will kill spool up and make your converter tighter.
