trans yoke cracked?

Default trans yoke cracked?

hey guys have any og you heard of them cracking on the knuckle side where they slide into the rear housing of the trans

oh by the way I thought it was the seal was bad so I changed it about two weeks ago and I did a test today by parking on a incline and it was leaking by where the yoke and shaft connect. I didn't see and run lines from the fluid just a drip at the knuckle

I cant find one its barely leaking and have been working so I haven't pulled it yet

Well took the drive shaft off and at the end of the slip yoke ot looks like its tweaked and possible has a crack have to take it up to the shop Friday to remove it from the drive shaft to find out for sure. Any one ever had this happen

my yoke actually broke where it pins to the driveshaft, but I did not believe I saw any damage to the splines, but I ditched that tranny same time.

get a good yoke. that was a 4l80e yoke.

I didn't think I was pushin tha much power. ganna try and weld it up Friday we will se what happens

That's a bad idea buddy. New yokes are cheap compared to the damage a grenaded yoke can do. The welded yoke might not fail today, but it will fail at the worst time sometime in the future.
