Default Tranny Shift Kit

I was talking to one of the mechs at a chevy dealer and he knows of a kit that you can install in the tranny that helps prevent tourque converter slip. He said shifting will be more aggressive and I will get alot more power and response time will be cut down dramatically. Will cost me 130+/-. What ya'll think?

Some of the shift kits out there address the tcc issues with the 1870 code. Both the trans-go kit and the superior kits have a fix for this. Is that price an installed price? If so it sounds like a pretty good deal. As far as getting rid of the tcc slip it can be corrected without a shift kit. However it does require removing the valve body from the vehicle and pinning the lock up regulator valves. We don't use this method at FLT due to the fact that we use a modified transgo kit. In this kit they give you a new regulator valve and spring. If you need any of these parts feel free to contact Doug at FLT.Take care, Vince.

sounds good.. I was talking with someone the other day. And they told me that when tourque converter slippage is reduced that just casual driving is annoying as hell cause when it shifts to the next gear it will shift hard and shake the whole truck.
