No towing, but will occasionally have loads in the bed.

Yep, I would've ordered from Fuddle if the had answered the phone or returned my calls/messages. I went with Yank.

I definitely didn't have my mind made up prior to creating the post. Nor do I have it made up now. My first statement was that I wanted input on stall speed - which speed was working well for everybody with similar setups as mine - not so much which brand to buy. My other curiosity was what results would I see from the smaller diamater torque converter. There's a reason drag cars (not street/drag - just drag) go with small diamater converters - it's much easier for the engine to turn them and keep them turning. A buddy of mine in NY had a convertible 64 Rambler with a 390 and a tiny little (9" I believe) TC that ran mid-10's. So given the fact that Fuddles is almost an inch and a half smaller, makes me wonder (mind still not made up) if that's a better choice. That's why I'm looking for experienced input - not so much input from people that have ran one high-performance stall in their lives and are basing all of their suggestions on that.

P.S. The Vigilantes are 10.5"

Point being is there's a reason for the smaller converters and I want a clearer understanding of why and what the results would be....especially with Fuddles being 9.5"...that's pretty small.

Well, I just called them on tuesday and ordered mine and talked to Melisa and she informed me that John is in the hospital. I asked her if it was life threatening and she said that they are doing some tests and she wouldn't know until they get the results back. Melisa is doing it all by herself and the guys are building them as fast as they can. She said that a taech would call me next week(tue or wed) and talk to me to make sure if what he built is what I wanted. After that then it will be shipped and should receive it five to seven days after that. Also, I'm getting the verter for $...........cheap. I just wanted to let you guys know what I found out. So I would be alittle patient. Anyways as always thanks for ya'lls time.

John is the guy that returned my phone call..................after a week and a half. So the delays in customer service were present long before his illness. Although I wish him the best and a speedy recovery.

Maybe I can get this post back on track.

I want to know what stall speeds everyone has used and which ones you prefer in these heavy trucks.

that varies depending on your cam. I can't imagine you needing anything over a 3000 stall.
