The only thing to be careful about with a higher stall is if you tow. Even a 3000 stall is pushing it unless you have a BIG tranny cooler. That's why I'm going with a 2600. I haven't decided on a Yank or Fuddle yet, I'm still doing some research and getting some input.

I can't speak for the quality of the Yank yet, but I know that cat answered the phone when I called him and I had a converter on my door step in a nice package within 9 days of ordering it.

OK, posted this response on another site. It kind of gives an idea of why I'mleaning toward Fuddle. I'f I'm way off on something or you differ in opinion, let me know:

Fuddle has an excellent reputation. Reason I was leaning toward them was partly a very good price, but they're converter is also 9.64" as opposed to Yanks 10.94". Smaller converter = less weight = less effort to turn = better accelaration, even if it's slight.

I can also pick my stall for the one price ($400), which is the way I think it should be. I don't think a 3000 stall should cost $100 more that a 2600 stall.

Again, not being argumentative, just covering my bases.

Fuddle's reputation is going down hill here recently, do a search.

Downhill as far as promptness in shipping though, correct? Not so much with performance or qualityTo me, those are of top importance, not how quickly I get it.

From what I understand the regular truck converter doesnt take long. Its the HP truck converters cause the front cover is machined somewhere else or something

That's my understanding as well. And again, the focus (mine anyway) is on THE PRODUCT - not if I'll get it in one week or not.

downhill

they don't return phone calls or emails in an acceptable amount of time

they don't hold to their delivery commitments

they don't deliver the product you ordered (order a 3200 stall and recieve a 5400 stall)

Many members have complained about the above, a lot here recently, that's why I chose Yank.

I'm not trying to start a bashing contest here, and I'm sure he(Fuddle) has many happy customers, but he(Fuddle) also has many unhappy customers and lost a few potential customers due to the above.

So order the Fuddle, it sounds like you had your mind made up before even creating this thread and you're just looking for some reassurance - I'm sure you'll be pleased with his product
