Default T56+'00 crank?

Will a T56 bolt up to an LQ4 out of an '00-'01 with the crank spacer? Or would I need a different crankshaft?

IF it has a crank spacer, just remove the spacer (just pry it off with a flathead, real simple) and it'll bolt up. If it's the long snout crank (motor will have iron heads) then you are SOL

Yes the motor has iron heads. So basically, the only way to get the T56 to bolt up is to get a different crank, which involves balancing the new crank to the existing rods and pistons? Hell if I'm going to go to that much trouble, then I might as well go with a stroker! Correct?

You could put a mid plate between the block and the bell housing. You would also need a set of long dowls.

Theoretically a LT1 T56 should work with the long crank. The crank was longer (or used a spacer) to allow a gen1/2 tranny to fit.

No, different pattern that the LT1 pretty sure. I guess the LT1 T56 won't work unless the LS1 style pressure plate and flywheel's spacing is right.
