Default Stock converters

I have 2 converters to choose from, one from a 99 5.3, and one from a 02 camaro ls1. Which would be the better choice behind a 02 ls1 and the 99 4l60E in a 4200 lb 4x4 with 4.56 and 35 inch tires that will be a daily driver

I'd go with the one from the 99 5.3.

I don't think the LS1 version will fit a NBS truck...there are a few differences between the truck version and the f-body version. Check to make sure whatever you buy is 100% compatible.

Thanks guys I already have both converters, Ill take a close look at what may be different between the 2. I also have a complete ls1, and a complete 5.3 that I will be mixing parts between to get one engine set up the way I want. The trans is from the 5.3.

If it turns out that I can physically use either converter than I am wondering if the converters have different stall speeds, and if one may be more rugged inside than the other

use the 5.3 it should stall alittle better behind a ls1. also depending on the year of the tranny and what not that depends if hte ls1 converter will work.
