I have the NP 261 Tcase and it feels sloppy like there is some slack. I can move the dshaft around slightly when the tires are up and the truck is in park. Anyone noticed anything similar on theirs and is there a fix? Its very noticeable during shifts as well, and before anyone says it, its not ujoints.

Hmm, well I never noticed it before. I figured with that slack and the shifts from the performabuilt lvl 3 it was hell for the ujoints so I wanted to fix it before it broke...

Mine has bad slack. Very loud clunk when put in reverse, and front driveshaft will turn alot. I removed the front driveshaft and no more clunk. It's not ujoints.
I figure it is slack in the chain

mine when its in the truck
sounds aweful when put into gear... sounds like something breaks but it always has since i got it and everything works fine... when you lock it in 4low its twice as loud

Yep, My 04 z71 i had did the same damn thing, It only had 40,000 when i got rid of it.
Clunked all the time when it shifted, had slop in the driveshaft while in park. Pissed me off.
One reason i sold it back then and got an HD. No slop or clunk at all now.
But im worried my 2000 might develop this prob. Hope some one has a fix for it.
I wander if its an " autotrac" thing ??? Im sure the firm hard shifts are what cause it.
