Fun to drive again. All shifts firm, but not jerky. Got some more tuning to do, then will make an appearance at the track for updated times.... hopefully faster.

I'll see if I can get the new u-joints in tomorrow. If the wife can handle the kids, then I'll try to get back to SCR for TNT tomorrow evening. Otherwise, no TNT til the 30th. I want to make sure I have a tow service available back to BR just in case.
All this depends on how well the tuning works out b/t now & then.

here we go again. after calling a few people, i finally got some help to get my truck towed back home. yes, trans pump (allegedly) failed. may decide to confirm things tomorrow.
while stranded ~30 minutes away from my home, i came to the conclusion that no fluid was pumping through the pump. i checked the level while the engine was running, and the fluid was waaaaaaaaay over the hash marks. i'm thinking one of two things, no working pump, or the filter came popped out of position. It's not likely that the filter would slip, so i'm sure the pump is toast. i did manage to get under the truck to check that the converter bolts were still in place (they were), and the trans linkage works great.
thanks MATT for offering to help..... and DEREK for making a few calls (i know your truck doesn't have a ability to pull using a tow strap), but i managed to get a hold of my wife's uncle that lived about 10 minutes from my location. Got truck pulled back to the house. i knew my tow strap would come in handy, but now i have to buy a new one. after riding about 30 minutes, we pull into my neighborhood/subdivision, and the tow strap snaps at one end only two blocks from my house. i get it tied in a knot, and we continue on. pull into the driveway, the other end snaps. i tie it the same way i did the other, and we get the truck up the driveway.
this trans issue has been fun. with everything that i've replaced thus far, i'm pretty darn close to a total performance build.
i will say that i am getting better at troubleshooting trans issues.
thanks, vince, for the second opinion.

If only I had a bottomless budget & a wife that doesn't mind me spending money on automotive stuff, there'd be a nice trans by way of Illinois bolted on this truck. Instead, I'm left driving, breaking, trying to stash a little, driving, breaking, trying to stash s'more. I'm not very patient with saving for over a year. I need my wife to get a better job that pays more so I can spend more.
<--- that's a whole 'notha can-o-worms.
Sucks that she's stuck where she is though.
