Default Shift Kit and Corvette Servo

Hey Everyone,

ok heres the deal I got a 2002 RCSB Z71 5.3 Powerdyne pushing 9PSI headers, flowmaster, 255LPH Fuel Pump, 42lb Injectors, custom tune, functional ram air hood. I think I have a 4L80E transmission but I aint sure how can I tell? Also I have read about everyone putting corvette servos in there tranny where can I get one for a 4L80E? Also would I be wasting my time to put in a shift kit if I install a servo. Or would I be wasting my time to do either one if I have a custom tune?

shift kit, seperator plate and servos are the very minimum mods that you should do to your transmission.

If your truck is a 1500 it is a 4L60e..... You'll need a transgo-shift kit, vette servo and should be aight for lil while.

Z71? yep 4L60E,doing a vette srevo you get a better 1-2 from the apply and a improved 2-3 shift from the accumulation,A vette servo is a first thing must have to hold that band tight on the drum.Trans-go is the next step if you do them seperate.

I know that a 4L60E come in my truck stock, but I blew the transmission in the truck while under warrenty and I had been having tranny trouble since I owed the truck and I think they said they were going to upgrade my trans to solve the problem to a 4l80E but I am not sure if they did thats why I was wanting to check.
