If the stall speed is truly 6k, I wonder if that is helping the trans live because so much is being lost in the converter. Just a thought, no expert here. Still not willing to do a 60e Level XXXX over an 80e. But, it does surprise me somewhat that I havent broken my 60 yet, and I weigh a good bit more than most of you guys. Make less power, and maybe not as hard on it, so there are reasons its lived I am sure.
Or I have a really good tuner who knows his **** on the trans settings
Either way, 80 > 60, forever.

Ok so I am kinda perplexed as I was reading thru the post on pt. So I am supposedly the *******?
Let's see trans had a broken pump to begin with not sure of cause could have been converter install could have just been a freak rotor breakage I stood behind it and put a billet pump rotor in it. You get it back and the unit is serviced from what I recall and have numerous broken hard parts I find the incorrect filter installed either way broken hard parts are broken hard parts at that point any other builder would say hey that's on you no I again stand by the unit and fix it for you. Fast forward when this setup was built you explained it was going to be a NA setup with about 450 to 500hp no power adders. I gave you options on different converters since it was going to be a na app we settled on the SB series converter when you advised me that you were going to put a turbo on the truck I advised you that the converter was not made or even spec out for that setup and a billet converter with balloon plate was needed you did not take my advise and ran it and the converter came part and damaged the pump again and filled the unit full of converter material. Again I clean the unit and fix it for you again I guess that's me being an ******* huh again anyone at that point would have walked away from it but I didnt. Never once during any problems with this unit was there any damage from anything that i did as a builder not once did it ever come back with burnt up clutches but rather broken parts from faulty service and a broken converter from using a power adder on a converter that was built for NA 450 hp matter fact the truck went 11s on my "junk" trans. My only fault in this is I should have walked away from it when the filter issue came in and definatley should have walked away from it when the converter issue came up as well

This really blows but Thanks for the response Robert Godfrey.
1. You Scheduled Next day pick up here in buffalo.
2. It arrived in Florida yesterday. You texted me that you picked it up. Today you opened it and called me.
3. You Explaining the filter difference. I questioned how a filter deeper in the pan would lose fluid from a filter higher in the pan. The video shows that the shallow filter would actually sit up toward the valve body closer ( away from the fluid ) more than the deep filter.
I had a local transmission specialty shop change the pumps for me because I didn't have the tools to do it. W a burned up pump, They obviously changed filters. I'm very upset/shocked/surprised they would use the shallow filter when the whole shop was impressed w the unit. They even asked about my external Trans cooler and I "went the extra mile w the expensive deep aluminum pan".
another reason I should have walked away another shop opened it up but they were impressed with build hrmm very odd

Forgot about the shop replacing the broken pump due to converter install issue another reason I should have walked away

Sounds like you go way out of your way to help a customer and have done so multiple times. You don’t seem like an ******* in my opinion. Your response could have been a little more professional if I’m getting nit picky, although I see why you would be frustrated.
Honestly anyone who spends 10 minutes on this site already has been warned of the 4l60’s weakness and advised to do an 80/85e swap.
