Ok so I am kinda perplexed as I was reading thru the post on pt. So I am supposedly the *******?
Let's see trans had a broken pump to begin with not sure of cause could have been converter install could have just been a freak rotor breakage I stood behind it and put a billet pump rotor in it. You get it back and the unit is serviced from what I recall and have numerous broken hard parts I find the incorrect filter installed either way broken hard parts are broken hard parts at that point any other builder would say hey that's on you no I again stand by the unit and fix it for you. Fast forward when this setup was built you explained it was going to be a NA setup with about 450 to 500hp no power adders. I gave you options on different converters since it was going to be a na app we settled on the SB series converter when you advised me that you were going to put a turbo on the truck I advised you that the converter was not made or even spec out for that setup and a billet converter with balloon plate was needed you did not take my advise and ran it and the converter came part and damaged the pump again and filled the unit full of converter material. Again I clean the unit and fix it for you again I guess that's me being an ******* huh again anyone at that point would have walked away from it but I didnt. Never once during any problems with this unit was there any damage from anything that i did as a builder not once did it ever come back with burnt up clutches but rather broken parts from faulty service and a broken converter from using a power adder on a converter that was built for NA 450 hp matter fact the truck went 11s on my "junk" trans. My only fault in this is I should have walked away from it when the filter issue came in and definatley should have walked away from it when the converter issue came up as well

what you wrote is not true. Look at the very first post of this thread.
I had a local shop build the trans and it lasted ~4 years being turbo and just below 500 wheel.
it broke and i called you. I ordered the best unit you could build, no limit on price. and whatever converter you chose for it.
Your unit broke many times and was never reliable. I think the longest it was on the road was 6 months.
I paid for every rebuild and shipping.
I went through two of your chosen fti converters and eventually bought a 4th converter. ($1200 PTC). It was already turbo making close to 500 wheel before i ever called you. it was never NA. it was always turbo when dealing with you.
Besides the first time i called you and sent you money and my trans, you were never on time or did what you said what you were going to to.
I had a shop install the new pump with billet rotor because you sent the trans back to me without it. I had to wait months for it to come and did not have the special torx bit to take the pump off. your video shows that they put the wrong filter on. The trans blew weeks after the install when i was cruising. not sure how it took weeks to pop with the wrong filter but whatever.
Not once was the converter installed wrong. I even sent you pics of the spacing and washers and wear marks on the snout.
I kept this thread updated throughout the transmission's life. post dates speak for themselves. Based off the thousands of dollars, months of down time, run around on deliverables and finally seeing what the new owner's transmission shop fixed and replaced from your unit. I do not support your business.
With the new trans from the local shop - the truck is reliable and locks/unlocks the converter the way i always wished it would have from you. if you want, i kept a spreadsheet with dates and events with your transmission. I can pin point all the dates it left me stranded and how long it took to get a response from you let alone get my transmission back.

At least this has been a good learningesson for me that no matter how much you try to help somone when they get fucked by an installer or service facility that you will still be the ******* in the situation dude the videos show what was in the trans so get the **** out of here with that bullshit house even said that the shop that fucked you were impressed with the parts that were in the trans when they replaced the pump and put the wrong filter in the trans which caused all these issues so get the **** out of here with all that poor me bullshit so people cam ride your dick **** that ****

Let's see broken pump indent you a pump in have no idea what broke the pump as I never seen the original pump could have been converter spacing which was already a problem with your original trans that's what was broken when you sent it to me anyway the pump seems like a good indicator that's same thing happened again to te trans after I built it.
shop replaces the pump locally I agree to this as it will cut down time they install pump install wrong filter as video shows and loses prime causing a neutral drop which shattered the gear train either way its broken hard parts had the shop installed **** right we would have never had that issue
everything is working fine now no lockup issues no breakage you tell me your putting a turbo on I advise you that converter isnt made for boosted application you don't take mybadvise and change converters and it did exactly what I told you it would do I clean unit out send it back and now you have lockup issues with a new converter again we should never have been in that scenario either
so you can take your poor me I got ripped off story somewhere else as I never charged you for any labor in all this only parts that were broken from outside sources faults.
and this is true accounting of what happened which mirrors your posts on th his thread as well and I have the videos as well
again you want to bash me fine do it at least the true events have been posted

Correction to this yes he did advise me he was going to run a turbo and was going to be under 500hp so we chose that converter when he advised me how much power he was making to the wheels being over 600hp that's when inadviswd him that converter was not made for that power and he was over the power we had talked about.

Nearly 30pgs later, most of us reading this have own opinions of what went down, and when/how it went down.
Doesnt mean the information provided to us was correct, but it doesnt mean it was wrong either
At this point, there is no saving this thread or the frustration suffered by multiple parties. Hashing it out is only going to aggravate both of you, and Transguy, based your replies, you are super aggravated.
Im an outside party here, looking in on this thread and questionable trans build that failed multiple times, but for the sake of posterity I will say that there is nothing that can be done to rectify it.
I once built a full stainless exhaust for a guy, but he complained that it rattled when he shut the car off. So I reworked it past the sway bar (it was close, but not that close IMO), but he didnt like that I had used pie cuts to change the bend radius, so I ordered more mandrels and reworked it again (7+hrs), then apparently it sounded different and he didnt like the new sound and wanted me to rework it again to add a resonator inline, again with me putting the money forward for parts he was picking.
What I learned from that was A) I lost money trying to make him happy with a product B) I should have cut him off after the first rework C) after everything, he still talks **** about my exhaust work when I see him at Cars and Coffee, even tho he was only ~$400 into it by the end
Sometimes, you just have to let things go
/soapbox rant

As far as I am concerned I went way above and beyond 1st off it's written in my warranty that I do not warranty broken pumps however I was willing to warranty it indent him a new pump he had a shop install it at this point any other builder I know of would have voided warranty but not me so shop installs a wrong filter causes trans damage again any other shop would have voided warranty but no I didn't I repaired the unit. I advised him the converter was not built for what he had power wise once we got past all the breakage stuff and he got it dynoed being he said 500hp putting down 630? However he ran 11s with that junk trans and converter and pop goes converter like I said it was going to do again I am warranting a unit which I shouldn't be so 3 times a warranted a unit that I should not have period

wrong again Robert. My truck was turbo before i ever called you. It was making just shy of 500 wheel and I told you to pick whatever converter you thought would be best for your transmission. I never chose the 3k stall single disk fti unit you sent me. I said OK and sent you the money. same for the 2600 stall fti single disk. you sent me both. I never picked one or asked you to send me those particular ones.
since you are stuck on the one time it broke and i had to have another transmission shop change the stock pump to the billet one. OK man, they put the wrong filter in it. I guess you can have that one but that whole mess woulda never happened if it had the billet pump, which i ordered, installed in the first place. i dont know, maybe? But heres the dates and events around that one example of it blowing up.
3/11/2016meTrans blew up again. 2nd time another Pump failure

so it took like 80 days to get the billet pump. after you said it was shipped. then said you forgot. then they were on back order. then i called TCI and told you they have a stock full of them. then you ordered it. and I finally got it. Oh then 3 months later ( with the wrong filter) it blew up again. crazy it lived for 3 months with the wrong filter.
warranty... i paid for every single part that was replaced and worked on. oh and the hundreds of dollars it cost to ship down there and back to me every time it broke.
edit - had to space spreadsheet out, it pasted ugly

Learn how to install a trans and have it serviced and you wont have these issues your original trans pump was broken as well seems like there is an issue with getting stuff installed correctly. However I am done with this thread and if you look above I corrected the converter power level thing same trans guy ou had is some trans gerald cosse has been running in his truck since 2013 and his runs 10.70s at 900 hp 418 sprayed with 400 shot learn how to install and have **** serviced properly oh and his truck has a stock rotor in it as well ;l
