Just an FYI for those that mentioned the 4L75E.

Someone is taking a new 4L75E unit apart on the tech side. Pretty nice unit for the money.

clicked over 120K. Shes rocking every day. No issues at all. The lock up shudder is still there but rarely happens since I changed the TCC Valve.

You mentioned in a earlier posts that transbuilderguy no longer supports FTI due to too many issues?

He told me he no longer supports the "cheaper" FTI units. The unit he sent me couldn't hold the power my truck made and was destroyed. He said it wasn't the first time it happened so he no longer uses that model converter. I wanna say it was ~$400 and I was over 600 wheel.

Well I might as well keep this going. I picked up the truck from him and absolutely love it. Aside from the surging. Lol again it's very random. Worse was for about and hour During a road trip cruising on the highway. Trains temp shot up to 185-190 didn't want to lock up at all. Got into more stop and go traffic teas cooled down and seems fine the last leg of the trip. Drove home 2 hours 2 days later with zero problems. I will have to make some calls to see how to proceed with diagnosing this.

I did the same. There is a lot of Sonnax Parts Inside, and was shocked to see that. Glad GM went that route.

hmmmmm maybe one of those fancy thick coolers with a fan? Its got a trucool 40K on it now, maybe thats not enough. I hate for you to throw money at it but I agree it is annoying when it surges.
