he did a coilover swap, if you are talking about factory coils like a 2wd setup I would just advise into buy the front clip of the frame. It could be done with you current frame but it be less work to re clip the front of your truck. What exactly are you trying to do with you front end and maybe I can lead you in a better direction.

I just hate torsion bars for lowered trucks. I hear they work great for 4wd's. But loosening the torsion keys to go lower takes away from the ride and performance of the suspension. It mainly rides on the bump stops and not to mention how hard it is to get them even. Removing the front clip is a little extreme to me. Thats alot of work and I just dont have the space. But removing the wheels and suspension components seems to be easier.

the frame is completely different, there is no spring pocket in the frame and the Lower control arms are vastly different because on a torsion bar most of the stress is on the back joint and on a Coil sprung truck it is distributed psuedo equally.
But coil overs would be badass

You could use lowering keys with your drop spindles and get a 4" drop. If you are going to make new upper mounts and swap out arms, you could always bag it later; if you want. The easiest would be the drop keys and spindles, butyou said you didnt like torsion bars.

If you are set on that, then I would order the plate ART uses to mount the shockwave to a tahoe (torsion bar style front end) then mount coilovers instead. I have some pictures of that plate if need be, I assume you got rid of 4wd? Otherwise you won't fit springs of any type in there with the CVs
