Default QA1 fitments ?'s

I'm looking into getting a set of QA1's for my Sierra. The front's aren't a problem, but the rear's are giving me a hard time.

Since the truck is lowered 6" out back, I called Bell Tech and asked them about the length of the shocks that I'm currently using. They are 11.63" compressed, 18.75" extended. I've checked with Speed Engineering, and they said that I have two choices:

TC1576P: 11.375/16.375
TC1667P: 13.500/21.000

Do I go with the one that has less compressed length, or less at full extension?

Im no expert, but I would think that a greater force would be put on the shock when it is being compressed. Think of it this way.. Hit a nasty pothole and the shock will have to go in. It's not really gonna be extended as many times or as much. I would get the one with the less full extension.

Ditto. You want to be able to compress the suspension all the way. Like in a pothole situation mentioned. The schocks will act as suspension stops if they do not have enough room to compress. Rendering your bumpstops useless.

You could use a limiting strap to prevent over extension like offroad trucks use.
