those will work for traction but i think they are supposed to be used on lifted applications.

I had those when I first started modding and didn't know any better. They suck on non-lifted aps, still had wheel hop. Get caltracs, they really work.

What?

I would get cal tracs whether my truck was lifted or lowered.

lifted trucks with larger tires are more stress then the caltracs can handle in some situations. the ladder bars are a little stronger then the cals and will deflect less. thats why on stock and lowered trucks they work great on but lifted trucks can be a problem.

I've been running them for years on a stock-height 2WD frame. You'll have to get a little creative with the front brackets, the rear ones intended to be mounted between the axle and spring can go under the axle with longer bolts and some grade-8 washers. Better leverage that way actually.
Any lateral bars that can transfer PUSH directly to the frame without going through the leaf springs is better than anything else. The suspension cannot load up with bars.

These brackets were intended to mount under the frame, I swapped sides and put them on the outside on angle iron with a gusset at the top. These are old photos.

Very old photo...
