Default Polyurethane Motor Mount

Does anyone make a poly motor mount for 99+ trucks? I would like to try a set. Also, does anyone know offhand if the 3/4 mounts are the same as 1/2 ton?

If you just do poly engine mounts, and not tranny, or viceversa it will wear out the poly ones, and they end up cracking, and splitting. I learned that on my chevelle. I had to change the motor mounts twice after an engine change.

never do a solid(poly) trans mount and not motor mounts, you are greatly risking cracking your transmission case and or bellhousing

just think of the flex that the motor will do anyway, if the rear dosent flex with it's forcing the trans case (weakest point) to flex and then lead to a crack or break

The transmission mount mainly handles a verticle load. The motor mounts take up most of the torque. My goal is to reduce the amount of engine movement on launch and 1-2 shift.

The full amount of engine torque is applied between the transmisson (or transfer case in 4wd) and the engine mounts at all times regaurdless of mount material. The aluminum transmission, or magnesium trans case is not going to see any change in load due to different mounts, it will have less vibration isolation though.

last year i made a torque strap, to help in preventing motor from moving on launch and 1-2 shift. my motor was rocking way to much

this year i ran solid motor mounts and poly trans mount
