Default new trans in, truck wont idle and dies at stops

truck doesnt want to idle and dies when making stops. when going through gears at idle (pnd321) it bogs down as if it wants to die..i have no clue to why it might be doing this? i dont see how swaping a converter and tranny would effect the engine idle?? any ideas guys? my trucks been comming along great too.

did you switch to a different converter? if so your idle settings are gonna need some work in the tune... Mainly desired airflow and throttle cracker and throttle follower, perhaps a little tweak to the spark....

As Corey mention above you need to get a tune done to fix this issue you are having. I have seen this complaint many times when guys install a converter with a smaller diameter and also a high stall. You will also want to remove the code tests for the PO751 and the PO757 in your tune as well. As for driving it to the exhaust shop it is what it is at this point. Use two feet or slip it in neutral!

I had this problem aswell when I swapped to my 3200 converter. a tune will cure it.
2 stepping will get you where you have to go tho.

If it's bogging while going through gears sitting still it's not just tuning. If anything, a higher-stall torque converter should be trying to move LESS torque at idle than a stock converter by far. It sounds more to me like the converter lockup clutch is dragging.

I'm with James, sounds like the converter clutch is partially engaging or something...
