Need driveshaft and converter advice
I have a 2000 Silverado with a 4L80E, Procharged 5.3 but plan on a forged LS2. My goal is around 650-850 whp. I need to know which driveshaft to order. I'm also going to be sending off my 3200 stall converter and change it. I'm thinking of going 3800 but am open to all suggestions. Thanks

I had a local driveshaft shop build me a nice 3 inch steel one when I did my 4L80E swap. Around 300 dollars. I'm no expert by any means, but dont those prochargers make nice torque down low? If so wouldn't you want a stall a little bit lower. Like around the 2500 to 2800 range? If you go 3800 you'd be losing out on low rpm power.

I support my local driveshaft builder, any competent shop should be able to build you a quality steel shaft.
3800 is at the very top end of what’s generally used with a pro charger...very track oriented. For street, I would stay in the 2800 range, but that’s just me. Your 3200 may be the ticket with the small 5.3 for street/strip. The bigger the cubes, the tighter you can go with the stall.
