Default Mounting tranny cooler with s/c heat exchanger

I'm about to install a tranny cooler, but the heat exchanger that came with my Radix kit is already in front of the stock radiator. Do any of you have suggestions about other places to mount the thing so I won't need a fan? Would it be ok to go three deep on the radiators?

I've seen people mount a heat exchanger in back of the lower valence under the front bumper. Don't know if you can do that, or if you have that space available.

Off topic, how do you like those Rancho RS9000X shocks? How do they ride on the road? What did you have in there before?

I do have a huge space behind the front bumper, but I'm not sure what the airflow is like. If you've seen it before, then it must be good enough.

I had the stock shocks in there before these. I like the adjustability...I have the rears set at 5 because the suspension is already stiffer with the supersprings, but I set the fronts at 8 to balance the ride, and I'm happy with the results. I've hit some nasty bumps going into parking lots and such, and the front end responds a lot more in control that I would have expected. They bring it back to neutral or whatever you want to call it quickly. I've been planning on getting the remote control unit for some time, but never got around to it.

Some lower front bumpers have openings, others don't. I may get an upgraded Radix heat exchanger, and if I do, I will leave the old Radix heat exchanger in place as a tranny cooler. Because I don't have an opening in the valence, I will need to have it cut. This is what I will likely do.

OK, thanks for the info. On to my next question...I've been looking primarily at Perma-Cool and Tru-Cool (with the low pressure drop). How do these compare, and are there other brands I should be looking at? I live in Phoenix and tow a boat during the summer...can I get by with a standard heat exchanger, or should I get one with a fan?

Now you've completely surpassed me in this area, I don't know. Hopefully someone else will chime in with what they know.

I ended up having to mount my tranny cooler under the front valance. I wasn't sure there was enough room in front of the Radix intercooler without hitting the grille. It's mounted horizontally, basically hanging out in mid-air but rigidly mounted, just above the very bottom of the valance. I got a Tru-Cool 24000 btu unit. It's basically just like the B&M supercoolers.
