I made the 3-5-R drum holder from a pair of old Vice grip clamps and a steel band. and I use a large worm clamp for pump alignment same as 4l80 tool. It works perfect and cost $3.00 at the hardware store.

Didnt realize with the step in the pump that would work... Wonder now how muchbigger the 6l80 pump cover is than the 4l60

doesn't look much bigger, but I honestly haven't measured one either. BTW I have used a stick of tig wire to hold the 3-5-R Drum assembly while easing it down.

Hell yeah!!! LMAO! I would also recommend anyone that goes into these transmissions to pull the pressure relief spring and ball out and re-seat the ball with a brass drift punch. Re-seating it provides more precise pressure relief from what the spring is rated for. I have seen a couple of seats nicked from the machining process which would let fluid bleed off earlier than it should.

I guess.... it's in the pump cover. it's between the TCC control valve and the converter feed limit valve.

I can get it tuesday, had found it through dacco but cant remember what it was now, but it was far less than the gm reman...150 vs 450
