Sorry to ask such a basic question. I'm gathering parts to do a similar swap. 07 Tahoe 4L60 4x4 to 2010 6L90 4x4. I'm trying to figure out if my transfer case will bolt to the 6L90 transmission if I only change the input shaft of the transfer case?

The 6l90s are a bit different, they have something like 3 different tailshaft housings... I know one of them has a really funky pattern as there are three or four bolts and 5 studs, similar to an alliison, but they used the 6l90 in a lot of earlier 1500s, so long as you knownwhat the 90 came out of you should be able to find the right input shaft..

Other thing you need to be careful of is at some point gm decided to change something in the control modules to where it apparently had the vin burnt into them... So you couldnt necessarily change it...
