I had the same problem. What type of seal did you use. When I had my gear put in, i used the one that came with the installiation kit, the guy said it was a single lip seal, and that it was probably going to leak. I did not believe him so I had him put it in anyway, guess what it leaked. He told me I needed to go to gm and get a factory gm seal. They are double lip?? Anyway, he put in the factory seal and I have not had a problem. It is only like 12 bucks I think.

you probably put back the wrong seal, i installed the one that came with my gear installation kit and it was the wrong one b/c it started leaking. got a new one at advance auto, works fine now, no leaks.

Get a new gasket, or use the silicon gasket maker. I used the silicon gasket maker on my mustang, no problems.

The gasket from AAM is shaped to allow oil to flow into the axle tubes, if you use silicon you might block the holes.
Older Imapla's had the same problem with blocking the tube holes.
