the drill mod can only be done on the late-model clutch lines (full braided, not the half-plastic one) with the roll pin at the slave & quick-connect at the master.
also, i normally don't have problems with grinding, but i also rev-match 90% of my shifts. the Hurst makes it easy to accidentally grind R instead of 4th when coming down from 5th, though.
