Yep, going 9s is plain retarded too lol. He's probably sitting on a transbrake for several seconds which is going to heat the trans fluid extremely high. Better to start it off as low as possible.

I learned a few things from him that day and 1 was that sitting on the trans brake builds heat at 50* per second

it can get up to 300* sitting on the brake for 5-6 seconds
a lot of guys don't take that into consideration but going thru the cooler it cools down quite fast

ok last question. where are you guys buying your slip yokes from? i need that and ill order both the cooler and the slip yoke tonight. i think i mights just use barb fittings (for now) so i can load her up and move the truck around and fix the lines correctly after the move. i need this truck "driveable" so the shipper can pick it up.
