Your going to be real sorry if you cheap out on the cooling side of this swap. You have a badass trans and converter and things are going to get hot fast. You'll end up putting a 40k and -6 AN lines in it whether you do it now or after you realize how much heat the converter with produce. it would suck to burn all your new parts up.

well if you go to summit racing they dont give you a sizing chart for a cooler. if you google 40k coolers they are a hell of alot smaller than the one i listed.

The Tru Cool trans coolers create much more surface area to radiate heat, unlike your typical copper tube style cooler.

Also going through the radiator is to help warm the trans on cold days and maintain a constant temp, not cooling.

Yea whatever floats your boat man. I just recommended the tru cool because it works. I've never run any of the other coolers you posted.

still need to find out how to modify the trans lines. i might buy the tru cool just looking at other options. i dont plan on driving this but onto the hauler in a few weeks and tow it across country to VA. Getting med discharged and i dont have the money to everything i want right now. i still need a slip yoke and get it machined plus the cooler and trans lines. so the things that take the back burner to getting the wife and 4 kids home would be the cooler for the time being.

on another note UPS will not be delivering my stall until monday because they dont deliver on saturdays. this is why i hate UPS and refuse to do business with them. they wont even let me pick it up and its sitting 8 miles from my house. the customer service is terrible. loathe that entire company. Fed Ex would have hooked me up. they bent over backwards to get my a package that got delayed. even gave me the option to pick it up after hours at the HUB. ok rant over.

Tru cool 40 k with an fittings and. -6 an hose. Very easy install and gets rid of the annoying factory hard lines. Gotta protect that investment with a good cooler.

Are you guys eliminating the fluid to the radiator and only using the cooler?

Yep. -6AN from the trans to the cooler and back. Then block off the radiator in/out.
