The stock rear u-joint from my 1500 2wd 2006 crew cab with the one piece aluminum ds worked for the front joint when i swapped to an 80e. I used a 400 yoke from ebay also. If I remember correct you need it to have outside and inside clips. I had to cut a little off my yoke, other than that it was a straight forward swap. I'm 90% positive it was a Precision #355 from O'riellys

ebay slip yokes suck *****. took her to a drive shaft shop to be shortened and I needed on ear to be heated and shrunk down because the u joint could slide through and the ears needed to be widened because the clips couldn't get in the groves of the u joint. should have bought a spicer joint. lesson learned but the shop was awesome and was able to fix everything for me so tomorrow ill have the drive shaft in and the cooler lines made and installed. hopefully I can figure out why my HP tuners wont read. I think my battery in my truck is low from sitting.

If I would have known ahead of time I would have suggested sticking with a Spicer.

This has been documented years ago. Neapco yoke and spicer U joint as standard on the 4l80 swap.

they got it hooked up and fixed. wasnt that bad i just didnt really think about it not working since other member here have used the same joint and not had issues. they heated and shrank the oversized ear and stretched them apart so i could install the clips. all said and done was 20 bucks. still debating having a custom drive line built at some point. not sure who to call or what i should order. any ideas?

For drive shafts, check out high angle driveline, bay area driveline, and tom woods.
