Default G80 popping? Is the end near?

Hey guys, my truck has 40k miles on it. 3.42 gears, 6.5" lift, 35" toyos and has had the cross pin fracture recall done at the dealer. About 8k miles ago, i installed a magnacharger and have been driving it fairly hard. The past couple of nights I've noticed a pop when it reverse and turning. Then tonight, i turn right onto a highway and kick it down about 20mph and the was a fairly loud pop and jerk and it's been fine since. I recently clamped the overload spring to control axle wrap, but im fairly certain Ive been hearing the pop since before that. Im going to loosen the clamps tonight and see where that gets me. If it still does it, I'm gonna pull the cover and at least change the fluid. Is this a common sign of the coming end for my lil 10 bolt G80?

pull the cover first. i am almost positive you will find the carrier to have cracks in the cast housing like mine did. even before i read about the supercharger install i knew it was done because you are turning 35's on 3.42's. mine did the same thing with 3.73 gears and stock tires because of a shift kit that caused 2nd gear to chirp the rear tires.

Also, is Royal Purple Max Gear safe to use in G80 lockers? I noticed the bottle said "limited slip" and dont want to screw up the new parts I will be swapping shortly!
