Now at the risk of sounding like a retard....I already has 3:73..but thinking of doing 4.10's....if i choose 3:73 will I have to buy another gear set? can I reuse stock stuff??

any anbody know where I can find part #'s?

GM 10 bolt, 8.5/8.6, 30 spline differential. You will have to have a new ring and pinion if you change gears, not if you keep the 3.73's. I recommend AAM (OEM) gears. You could probably re-use your carrier and pinion bearings and races... if you can get them off without damaging them. I recommend new ones. I recommend new bolts for the ring gear. I also recommend having a professional install and setup your rear end.

The Detroit True-Trac part # is 913A48L

4.10 if you do more town driving. 3.73 if you do more highway.

The true trac instead of having clutches engage the positive traction it has gears. I can throw my *** end around at will. But if I dont want to its all good and is just as DD as my G-80 was.
